Court Records Show History of Violence from QAnon Spin Off Cult Leader Negative 48
It’s been roughly one year since -48 (Michael Brian Protzman) started his spinoff QAnon cult in Dallas, Texas. Last fall I found court records for Protzman and shared them on my Patreon. Since I’ve migrated here, I thought it would be good to repost it and remind everyone who he is.
Court records from King County Superior Court in Washington show that QAnon spin off cult leader Michael Brian Protzman, aka Negative 48, was arrested in July 2019 for unlawful imprisonment/domestic violence. While the case eventually was dismissed without prejudice, the details on record are as follows:
[Redacted] stated on 07-31-19 at approximately seven in the evening, she arrived home and went inside her residence she shares with her husband of twenty five years, Michael Protzman. They are currently in the process of getting divorced and Michael told her that if he couldn't have her, no one could. For the past two weeks, Michael has been acting differently, not showering or working and believing in government conspiracies. He physically held her down on the bed, using both of his hands to physically restrain her, using one of his legs to brace hers, rendering her unable to move. Michael held her in this position for approximately two to three minutes until she told him that she would agree to marriage counseling so he would let her up. When she attempted to walk down the hallway, he physically grabbed her, preventing her from leaving. She was eventually able to get out of the house and walked barefoot to her neighbor's house where she called 911. [Redacted] stated she is scared of Michael because he has "blind rage" and she believes he may hit her. Michael has assaulted her in the past; strangling her approximately six years ago.

Pierce County court records show that Protzman's wife had filed for divorce in June 2019; her petition stated that the couple had lived in separate households since November 2018, and that their marriage was irretrievably broken. In his response dated August 20, 2019, Protzman reiterated the demands he was alleged to have made in July, saying he still wanted marriage counseling before considering divorce. The divorce proceedings continued until September 2020, when both parties stopped showing up to court, resulting in a dismissal.
At the same time, the neighborhood HOA filed a lawsuit against the Protzmans in King County Superior Court. From the court documents:
As of April 22, 2021, Defendants owe the Association $39,507.45 in assessments, late fees, interest charges, violation fines, and attorneys’ fees and costs. The Association recorded a lien against the Property on March 8, 2016 in King County.
Both Protzman and his estranged wife failed to show up to court, resulting in a default judgment for the full amount in April 2021. After their twelve month redemption period ends in April 2022, their property will be seized and sold to repay their debts.
