Thanks for taking the time to go to Springfield and do some real reporting. I’m tempted to drive there myself just to support the local economy and eat some good Haitian food.
Thanks for another great article. And for bringing some normal humanity to this political shitshow. I grew up not too far from there and seeing the community used by the right-wing whackos and the terrible treatment of the Haitians there pisses me off. Pardon my use of “BBC News” memes on Twitter. I don’t want to distract attention away from your excellent reporting. All Best Wishes for continued success! ⚓️ ⚓️⚓️
Another thanks for going to Springfield and reporting the truth. One problem in Springfield is there's no truly local media. The Sun-News newspaper, which despite limited resources, has done well on this issue, is mostly a reprint of the co-owned Dayton Daily News. All three local radio stations are programmed elsewhere: iHeart Media's WIZE broadcasts their Black Information Network; WULM runs all-Catholic programming from Alexandria, LA and WEEC-FM is a Religious station programmed from Xenia, 25 miles down the road. So there's no immediate means of counteracting these specious rumors in the city.

Another great article, Amanda.

This is a well written article providing great info on the anti-Haitian narrative.
