CPAC Sieg Heil
You might have seen the video of a Nazi doing a sieg heil on a woman at CPAC. Almost all of the reporters covering this have failed to mention (minus work by Jonathan Katz and Jerod MacDonald-Evoy) that I am the woman — and that I’m targeted by those specific Nazis for harassment because of my writing.
It’s been unbelievably disappointing to watch as coverage of this sieg heil has excluded any context whatsoever. The reporter who screen recorded the video and shared it didn’t think it was relevant that Nazis were targeting a journalist — even though it’s me in the video, and I’m the one who showed it to him. I wrote about the Nazis at CPAC, including this experience, for The Nation. I would love if you would go read it.
